Meet Miles "Turbo" Tolle

Miles "Turbo" Tolle was a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, and a friend. More than anything, he was a deeply loved little boy who brought joy, laughter, and energy into every room he entered.

The Miles Tolle Foundation exists because of him.

While many people may come to know Miles through the foundation, the golf tournament, or our efforts to raise awareness about Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC), we want them to first know the little boy who inspired it all.

Who Was Miles?

Miles earned the nickname "Turbo" because his older brother would not allow me to call both of them “Buddy”. Myself and Weston coined “Turbo” from our love of trucks

As soon as Miles could move he grew into that nickname, and it became evidently apparent that it fit him. He was always going full speed, pushing the limits, and never slowed down.

He approached life with curiosity, excitement, and enthusiasm. Whether he was exploring outside, playing with his siblings, making people laugh, or simply finding a new adventure around the house, Miles had a way of bringing energy wherever he went.

His smile was contagious, his laugh was unforgettable, and his personality was larger than life. He had a way of making ordinary moments feel special and reminding those around him to slow down and enjoy the little things.

To us, he wasn't just "Turbo." He was our son.

The Everyday Moments

Some of our favorite memories of Miles aren't the big milestones. They're the simple, everyday moments that made him who he was.

The way he would light up when he saw family and friends.

The way he played with his brother and sister.

The little routines that made up our days.

The sounds of his laughter filling the house.

The way he could turn an ordinary afternoon into an adventure.

These are the moments we miss the most.

Like all children, Miles had his own unique personality, his own sense of humor, and his own way of seeing the world. He taught us patience, joy, and unconditional love. Even on difficult days, he had a way of making us smile.

A Life That Changed Ours Forever

In September 2025, our lives changed forever when Miles passed away unexpectedly due to Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC).

Like so many families affected by SUDC, we had never heard of the condition before it became part of our story.

The loss of a child is something no parent should ever have to experience. The questions, uncertainty, and heartbreak that follow are impossible to fully describe. Yet through our grief, we discovered a larger community of families facing similar losses and a critical need for greater awareness, education, and research.

We quickly learned that many people, including parents, healthcare professionals, and community members have never heard of SUDC.

That realization helped shape our mission.

Miles' Legacy

The Miles Tolle Foundation was created to honor Miles by helping other families and ensuring that his life continues to make a difference.

Through awareness, education, family support, and advocacy, we hope to shine a light on SUDC and help create a future where fewer families experience this devastating loss.

Every event we host, every conversation we start, every family we support, and every dollar we raise is done in honor of Miles.

His story matters.

His life matters.

His legacy matters.

While our time with Miles was far too short, the impact he made on our family and everyone who knew him will last forever.

As long as we’re living, our baby you’ll be…

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Turbo.
